Why Your Voice Matters in Bringing Little Lion History to Libraries

To be honest, I feel a bit like a goldfish swimming in the ocean when it comes to the world of books and authors. I’m not well-known—yet! 😉But I have big dreams for Little Lion History, and I need your help to make them a reality.

Libraries are incredible resources for families and communities. They’re more likely to add books to their shelves when there’s clear demand from their community. That’s where you come in!

By helping me show that there’s a desire for Little Lion History books in your local library, you’re playing a big role in bringing engaging and age-appropriate history lessons to more families.

How You Can Help Bring Little Lion History to Your Library

Step 1: Reach Out to Your Library

Visit or call your local library and ask to speak with the person in charge of book acquisitions (usually a branch manager or acquisitions librarian).

Many libraries also have an online book request form or email option, so you can also make your request that way.

Step 2: Share Why Little Lion History Is a Great Fit

Highlight that the books are age-appropriate, engaging, and homeschool-friendly.

Emphasize how they support families, co-ops, and history enthusiasts in your community.

Step 3: Get Your Community Involved

Encourage other homeschool families, co-ops, and friends to reach out to the library. Libraries are more likely to add books when there’s visible community demand!

Step 4: Leave a Review and Spread the Word

Share your thoughts about Little Lion History books on our website. Reviews show evidence of interest and quality, which helps libraries feel confident in adding them.

If you own a copy of the book, lend it to others and encourage them to leave reviews and request it at their library.

I’m Happy to Donate!

If your library has specific guidelines for donated books, let me know. I’m more than willing to provide a copy to ensure it’s available for your community.

"We've loved getting to read and enjoy this book by fellow homeschooling mom, and author @littlelionhistory. It's geared for small kids to get them intersted in history- it's pumped with fun facts the story and rhyming! My nine-year-old loved feeding this to my three-year-old multiple times, and they loved getting to go back and find apples together on the pages. If you're a big history family like ours and you have young learners- this book is perfect to introduce them into the American Revolution."
